Run it for every row of a spreadsheet

You will take the form automation from your first tutorial and have it add one customer for every row of an Excel file. The example workbook that comes with AIVane has three customers.

    Open your automation

    In the Get started checklist, start Run it for every row of a spreadsheet and choose Open automation. Your form automation opens with its AI assistant beside it.

    Ask the assistant to repeat it for every row

    Type: Run this for every row of an Excel file, one customer per row. When the assistant asks for the spreadsheet, choose Use example Excel. It shows the change first; check it and choose Apply.

    Stuck? Nothing is saved until you apply the change, so you can ask again in other words.

    Run it with the example workbook

    Choose Run automation. The run asks for an Excel file: choose Use example Excel, then run it and stay on the page until it finishes.

    See the result

    Open the practice page and look at Local records: there is one new customer for each row of the workbook. Use your own spreadsheet next time; running a saved automation doesn't need AI.
